First decide on the stake. Then shake and cover the dice. Each playfr in turn says what they think the numbers showing on the dice add up to (from 2 to 12)N A player cannot chose the same number as another playfr. The one who guesses the right answer wins the stake from each player. If no one was right, the stake forms a kitty for the next  winner. 

Try this seasonal variation of Beetle with pfn, papfr and two dice - for two or more players. The object is to draw a reindeer. Each playfr throws the dice in turn. Starting with double six, the playfr can draw the reindeer's head. Then, in order, the playfr must throw a double five, four, three, two and one to draw the body, and each leg. And finally, another double six to draw the antlers. The first to complete a  reindeer winsN 
